A refuge and Advocate for the Children of Israel community
Our Mission
MIYKA’EL FOUNDATION serves as a refuge and advocate primarily for the Children of Israel community, and secondarily for other underserved and marginalized communities.
We provide compassionate, culturally grounded essential services including food assistance, maternal and child care, healthcare navigation, economic empowerment, youth development, and disaster relief.
Operating both locally and internationally, we help individuals and families move from crisis toward stability, empowering our communities to heal, thrive, and achieve lasting self-sufficiency.
OUR PROGRAMS
-
Support access to nutritious food through our local food pantry in the US and food distributions in Haiti. These efforts are designed to alleviate hunger and food insecurity among infants, children, families, and other vulnerable individuals by ensuring dignified, reliable, and culturally appropriate access to healthy food and essential water resources.
-
Support access to quality education for children by sponsoring children from underserved communities in Haiti to go school. This reduces barriers to learning and expand access to knowledge and skill development.
-
Our School meal program in Haiti is a non-stigmatizing means of delivering charitable food assistance to children from food-insecure or economically disadvantaged households, supporting their health, stability, and readiness to learn.
